R. JELÍNEK SLIVOVITZ

Our slivovitz is made by triple distilling a ripe plum mash. The plum pits remain in the mash the entire time to infuse the resulting beverage with tannins to give it its specific flavour. The distillation is followed by ageing process in tanks, during which time the beverage is kept at a variety of temperatures and regularly checked and evaluated by experienced Vizovice’s distillers. Genuine Jelínek slivovitz is first and foremost the result of their hard work, experience, and patience.

Its scent carries a sweet hint of the plum pits, which does not overwhelm its fruity character. Its ageing and traditional production methods lend slivovitz its delicate taste and mild aroma.
Serving temperature depends on the occasion. When served before a meal as an aperitif, it must be chilled; when served after as a digestif, it should not be.

Our slivovitz is best enjoyed with a bit of dried plum on a toothpick – in its home region this is called a Wallachian Sausage.

R. JELÍNEK SLIVOVITZ GOLD

Gold slivovitz is unique in the fruit brandy world, initially conceived of and to this day produced using traditional methods in the stronghold of Wallachian distilling industry, Vizovice. The basis of this beverage is classic clear slivovitz, which is then aged in specific conditions to imbue it with completely new and unexpected characteristics.

Our product portfolio also includes gold slivovitz with an aroma reminiscent of cognac and a harmonious fruit flavour with a distinctive woody undertone. This slivovitz acquires its gold colour and harmonious flavour from long-term ageing in casks made from Czech oak trees. The creation of gold slivovitz, a product hitherto unheard of in the Czech lands, was the result of cooperation between the Jelínek brothers and the French cognac producer Denis Mounié in 1923. His experience with the production of aged wine distillates enabled the creation of a production process that would bring the traditional fruit spirit closer to the world-famous cognac.

R. JELÍNEK PEAR BRANDY

Pear brandy is a clear fruit spirit with an aroma that makes its origin undeniable. Drinkers of all kinds are sure to appreciate its pleasant, delicate flavour and characteristic aftertaste. Due to its delicious taste it is one of the most popular fruit spirits in the Czech Republic and especially in the west. We believe that you will also find its delicate fruity flavour enchanting.

Williams pear brandy is a clear spirit with a characteristic delicate fruity taste. Pear brandy is gaining popularity in Central Europe, and you will surely agree that its fruity flavour and aroma are delicious.

For production of this excellent pear brandy, only the Williams pear variety is used. And because Chile is one of the world’s foremost producers of this variety, we have built a distillery there equipped with our technologies and we are continuing to plant more pear orchards. All of this is, of course, taking place under the supervision of some of Vizovice’s best master distillers.

R. JELÍNEK BOHEMIA HONEY

This liqueur combines the flavour of genuine three-year-old slivovitz and the beneficial effects of lime tree honey. It has a natural honey aroma with a light fruity undertone and a lingering hint of dried plums, caramel, and lime blossom.

Its basis is classic slivovitz made through the triple distillation of ripe plum mash. Then the distillate is mixed with genuine lime tree honey. The long-term maceration of honey gives it its gold colour, delicate flavour, and honey aroma. The stability of the spirit is guaranteed due to the modern technological process in combination with the traditional craftsmanship of the Vizovice’s distillers. Then it is stored in tanks and allowed to age, harmonising the flavour and aroma and rounding out the spirit.

HONEY combines slivovitz – the heart and soul of Wallachia, its traditions, and its connection to nature – with a taste of lime tree honey, considered by beekeepers to be the highest quality and proven to have beneficial effects on the human body.
