A doctor, lawyer and a political consultant walk into a bar…
Sure it sounds like the beginning of a joke. However, in reality, it was actually the beginning of something really special. With a shared love of spirits and specifically Vodka, Bruce Elwell, Steve Cox and Jordan Karp began talking about going into business together. With a history of home brewing and even some bootleggers in their family trees, making Vodka wasn't just a fantasy, it was good business. But not just any vodka... one that used local ingredients, was gluten-free, and used a distilling process that minimized it's impact on the environment. In 2010 that shared vision of a local distillery, became the very real Adirondack Distilling Company.
They started in 2011 with the purchase of a historic building for the Adirondack Distilling Company on Varick Street in Utica, New York. Using state-of-the-art equipment, a custom-crafted copper still from Germany, and a proven distilling process, Adirondack Distilling Company became Central New York’s latest gem.

Adirondack Gluten Free Gin (Kosher)

After more than a year of research and development we were able to produce a GIN that is Grand enough to be called ADK GIN. Our GIN starts with corn based alcohol produced in our distillery. Unlike most distilleries, we do not import any NGS (neutral grain spirit).
This is a dry GIN that uses 10 different botanicals and essential oils in its production.  The most unique is Alpine Bilberries native to the Adirondacks.
Our GIN has a complexity of flavors that allow it to stand on its own or pour well in any combinations.  It is handcrafted in small batches of 250 liters (about 400 bottles) at a time.  To the best of our knowledge, this is the only corn based gin on the market making it the only gluten free GIN available. This special formula not only creates a great tasting gin, but gives you an authentic taste of the Adirondack

Old Oak Gin by ADK Distillery

Adirondack Distilling Company announced the release of limited edition quantities of Old Oak Gin. For the gin, they took their international and New York State-awarded ADK gin and combined it with their international-awarded 601 Bourbon in a used bourbon barrel. They let it sit for months, so that the “unique botanical notes acquired a hint of amber with soft hints of charred oak from the 601 Bourbon.”
“Our Old Oak Gin combines ADK GIN, with it’s flavors and complexes, into a barrel from our 601 Bourbon with it’s smokey, smooth finish. The result is amazing!!”
